Richmond Football Institute will be visiting TC and Melville Island as part of their annual Top End Trip to develop Cultural Education and leadership qualities. They will be delivering fun games around teamwork, building trust, communication to sport and rec activities, fitness and nutrition sessions and healthy social and emotional wellbeing education.

This year 4 female students and 2 staff members have been selected to attend Garma Festival.

The Garma Festival is the largest Indigenous Festival in Australia, held every year, in northeast Arnhem Land. The festival showcases traditional Yolngu Culture through miny’thi (art), manikay (song), bunggul (dance) and story-telling.

Young Men Tarntipi Bush Camp

Two-night stay at Tarntipi Bush Camp.

An on-country experience out to Tarntipi Bush Camp where participants have an opportunity to raise their awareness and understanding of Tiwi culture and contemporary issues. Participants will be provided with information and activities which assist in generating positive ideas about Tiwi culture. The focus of the experience is raising cultural awareness by being on country and sharing time Tiwi way.

What we will provide:

• Tiwi Cultural Educators, led by Mr Teddy Portaminni

• Onsite Support

• Camp site facilities with tent accommodation, small mattress

• One Troopy 4wd and trailer

• Activities and information

• Administration & coordination of local logistics

• Catering
