Tiwi College have partnered with Jipungwayi , Mikey Coombes to engage with the students from Milikapiti Community.

The students will be going through alcohol and other drugs topics.

The JYW had a wonderful day visiting Bima wear for an excursion on their subject design and technologies.

JYM spent the morning on country learning to write a persuasive essay.

Students travelled to Jessie River and learned how to hunt for jukwarringa (mud mussel) and piranga (long bum).

We are thrilled to have Sandra working in the Tiwi College office completing a Certificate II in Community Services via a school-based traineeship through Tiwi Islands Training and Employment Board.

All girls participated in a long walk around campus, to the airport and then down to Picka creek where they enjoyed a well- deserved swim..

In order to keep access open for students our college staff spent the day repairing roads and washouts.

Junior Young Men enjoyed learning about Landforms and went walking to the creek to look at erosion and how landforms start being formed.

It was very special to have previous students Maurice and Daniel Rioli here. The students absolutely loved spending time with the players and staff.

Congratulations to Matthew Nudjulu who, having completed year 12 studies just last year has been employed by Tiwi College as an apprentice mechanic.

Tiwi College has been registered with Happy Boxes Project whose aim is to empower women in Australia’s most remote communities, promote self-care and support women in community by providing hygiene and health products.

We would like to thank Sharon from Red Dust for visiting to run the ‘Strong Women’s Program’.

The young women enjoyed each session of life skills pamper, self-care and cyber safety.

The JYW attended The Future Nextgen event with Inspired NT & Engineers Australia at the Darwin Solar Car Workshop at Hidden Valley Motor Sports Complex.
